"Is hers an acorn too?"

"No, it's a thimble."

"Why?"

"It's a Peter Pan reference. Have you ever read the book?"

"No."

"Seen the movie?"

"No. Is it a porno?"

"...yes."

"What kind?"

"...With children."

"My favorite."


There was laughter while this was going on, but it reads better as a monotone dialogue, don't you think?
