p.s.

Genevieve and I were in Washington, DC recently and got to see first-hand that the Hirshhorn's collection really is as frustrating as Tyler Green always says it is. I did manage to pick up a copy of "The Way Things Go" from the gift store though.

huh.

It's been forever since I posted. I apologize, but the only two fliers I've noticed in the mail recently are from Honor Fraser, and neither one particularly appeals to me. Tom Wesselmann and...KAWS?? I guess that's sort of in line with the Ed Templeton and Yoshitomo Nara exhibits at Roberts and Tilton and at Blum & Poe, respectively. Man, you turn your head for a couple months and half the L.A. Gallery scene becomes a 4 year old issue of ANP Quarterly. And I'm not even going to bother talking about the whole MoCA debacle, which every other [much more intelligent] blogger has covered.

To be fair, I haven't checked out the Maeghan Reid show at Chung King Project, which looks promising, or anything at Peres Projects, or anything at all really. Fuck it, I'll actually go to shows next time before I write. All I've really been doing is holiday shopping, and on that note, the window display at Ooga Booga is lovely!
